Distribution : (Holthuis, 1972: 33): Pantropic species, Eastern Atlantic (Mediterranean and West africa); West Indies (Bermuda to Curaçao), East Pacific (Gulf of California to Colombia; Clipperton Island, Revillagigedo Islands, Cocos Island, Galagpagos), Indo-West Pacific (Red Sea, Ceylon, Wake Island, Hawaii, French Polynesia, Easter Island -Hanga Roa). - Shallow-waters (0-12); Hard bottom; Coral facultative associate.

Remarks : Lt up to 30-50 mm.
