Frv Marara, stn D38, Eiao 42 m and possibly MUSORSTOM 9 stn CP1227, Hiva Oa 85 m). - Remark: this include specimen(s) from Eiao, 42 m, det. as Libystes truncatifrons by K. Moosa and listed under Catoptrus nididus A. Milne Edwards, 1870 by Poupin, (1996a: 29; checklist). According to A. Crosnier (pers. com., February 2003) the synonymy of Stephenson (1972: 29) between Catoptrus nididus and Libystes truncatifrons is not valid. - Unpublished specimens, prov. det. Poupin, coll. G. Paulay, Rangiroa, October 16, 2001, Hoa at E. end of Tiputa and reef flat (FLMNH-UF 1646).
