Distribution : Easter Island. Distribution: Indo-West Pacific: Red Sea to South Africa; Indonesia; Philippines; Australia; Phoenix Island; Mediterranea (Israel); intertidal to 148 m (Chace, 1988: 90). Possibly also French Polynesia from Moorea Biocode project.

Banner). - Remark: according to D'Udekem d'Acoz (1999: 106) this species includes three distinct sub-species, tumidomanus sensu strico being restricted to the Indo-Pacific. - FRENCH POLYNESIA - Moorea Biocode project (first record for FP) (as Alpheus cf. tumidomanus).
