Regional Records: EASTER ISLAND - Oncopagurus cf. haigae (De Saint Laurent, 1972) - Zhadan, 1997: 59 (Seamounts Sala y Gòmez and Nazca ridge, r/v Pr. Stockman, st. 1957, 29/04/87, 24°56.5'S, 88°31.6'W, 570-575 m; "If the assignment of our specimen to O. haigae proves to be correct, this would be the only eastern Pacific species of Parapaguridae found so far at the Nazka and Sala-y-Gomez ridges"). - Remark: An additional Parapaguridae, Bivalvopagurus sinensis (de Saint Laurent, 1972), is mentioned in Parin et al. (163, 216 tab. 3) as a personal communication by Zhadan. However, as this species is not included in Zhadan (1997), it is considered as a preliminary determination that was not confirmed by further examination. Therefore, Bivalvopagurus sinensis has not been included in this checklist.
