(17 decembre 1998) "According to the definitions of the callianassid genera given by Manning & Felder (1991) and amendments made by Manning (1992) this species cannot be placed into Cheramus, but is definitely a member of the genus Corallichirus Manning, 1992: Corallichirus articulata (Rathbun, 1906) ." More recently, this species is listed by Sakai (1999: 76) under Glypturus articulatus.
