Regional Records: Lophozozymus octodentatus - Boone, 1934: 102, pl. 54-55 (Tahiti). - Sakai, 1976: 407, pl. 146, fig. 3 (Syn., but without Boone's reference). - Poupin, 1996a: 46, 77 (Checklist) - Synonyms - Lophozozymus octodentatus (H. Milne Edwards, 1834). - Remark: Boone has examined and illustrated a large male and a female from Tahiti. It seems that this material has never been re-examined or cited again (cf. Buitendijk, 1960, or Sakai, 1976).
