Regional Records: Callinectes alexandri Rathbun, 1907: 61, pl. 2, fig. 1, pl. 9, fig. 3, 3a-b (Tahiti). - Guinot, 1985: 449 (List). - Poupin, 1996a: 31, 77, 78 (Checklist). - Remark: This portunid has been described from Tahiti, with a paratype from "Suva, Fidjis". According to Stephenson (1976: 13), it is in fact a non-identifiable Portunus.
