Berkeley, coll. & attributed to Pseudosquillana megalophthalma (Bigelow, 1893) by C. Caldwell, Moorea, postlarvae at night light, rare (personal communication Caldwell). This postlarva has been reexamined by AHYONG (e-mail 31/01/2001) "I recently went to the USNM and reexamined the specimen reported on the list as Pseudosquillana megalophthalma. That specimen is a postlarva of Pseudosquillana richeri."
