Distribution : Pérez Farfante & Kensley (1997); Vereshchaka (1990; 2000) - South-east Atlantic Ocean; south-west Indian Ocean; Sumatra; Pacific: Hawaii; north-west Pacific; east pacific: Baja California; Seamounts Sala y Gòmez and south-western part of Nazca ridge, 25°07'-25°58'S / 85°27'-99°35'W). - Bathypelagic (30-200 m at night and 700-2000 m during the day).
