Distribution : Li & Bruce (2006) - Type locality: Mergui Archipelago. Known from Red Sea and eastern Africa to the Philippines, Indonesia, Australia (Queensland), and eastward to French Polynesia (Tuamotu Islands and Gambier Islands).
